Spring Break for Vines

As you can see from these pictures taken yesterday, our vines are waking up for the 2007 vintage. The Cabernet Franc (on the left) and Semillon (right) are both making their push. After last year when it rained nearly every day in March and April, the dryer and warmer weather this year is very welcome. Blue skies and warming soil temperatures are the alarm clock that wake our sleeping vines each year, which then toil quietly throughout the spring and summer to bring you some very special wines. (With a little help from us!)
