August- 144,000 bugs we love!

A crate of ladybugs, gently hand-delivered to the vines. We might

think of some bugs as pests, but these are ones we love to see!

Most of the bugs we consider pests, something else considers lunch. We deliver the predators to their prey, and let nature take the reins. One reason insecticides can be problematic: they kill the good insects along with the bad.

So last week we added 144,000 ladybugs to our vineyards to help us produce the best organically grown grapes possible. (Sounds like a huge number, however it's only about a half-dozen per vine.)

Monthly Special: Think BIG

Each year we try to bottle a handful of double-magnums. These bottles are 3 liters and hold the equivalent of 4 regular bottles. They're fantastic for festive occasions, dinner parties of 6 to 12 people, a memorable gift to a wine lover, etc. We're just releasing these and want to give you the first opportunity to consider these collector's items.

Any double-magnum orders received this month will receive free shipping (they'll be shipped next month after the summer heat has passed).

The most we have of any of these is just 4 double-magnums, so we suggest a call soon if you're interested: (707) 894-9177.
