compete against each other in the blind tastings (no labels revealed)
conducted by the professional judges.

the winner is.....[drum roll]...........
Yorkville
Cellars 2001 Merlot from our Rennie Vineyard
We
were so excited, we had to double-check their website to make sure>
http://www.sfwinecomp.com/results/2004_Best.pdf
Our
current vintage selling in our tasting room and on our website,
the 2000 Merlot, is $18 a bottle and we hadn't yet decided what
the price will be for this new, un-released vintage. But in
the best centuries-old tradition of Bordeaux, we will attempt "to
match quality of the vintage with supply and demand" (short-hand
wine-speak for "we don't have a lot and north of $20 a bottle").
On a serious note, we truly believe that over the long-term we'll
attract the best, most loyal customers for Yorkville Cellars
by offering OUTSTANDING quality for the price VALUE. We all
know you can spend an ever-increasing higher amount on a bottle
of wine. So, in this case, we hope you'll consider by-passing
the Napa $40, $45, $48, and $65 "Reserve" Merlots that
the distinguished judges gave bronze medals to and look no further.
Great
wine is meant to be shared! So to celebrate with our best
friends and most loyal customers, we're offering:
2001
Merlot case of 12 for $180.
2001
Merlot 6-pack for $90.
Merlot
3-Pack A
"vertical" sample of 1 each: 1999, 2000, and 2001 for
just
$49.
This special monthly offer ends July 31, 2004.
FREE
SHIPPING on 6 or more bottles shipped via UPS Ground.

As
always we sincerely want to thank you for your continued interest
in our wines and fantastic support.
