With the arrival of summer we have added several new picnic tables under our ancient oak trees. We welcome you to bring a picnic, get a chilled bottle of our Sauvignon Blanc and enjoy the pastoral pleasures of Yorkville. But watch your lunch: between Shadow (shown above) and Fruitcake, our infamous tasting room cat, you may need to bring an extra portion! Sauvignon Blanc- new vintage!
Our flagship wine, from our oldest vineyard block planted in 1982. The 2006 Sauvignon Blanc is an excellent offering. Briefly from our tasting notes: "Sweet lime or lemon drop candy nose, with light floral note. Kiwi-tangerine fruit with a hint of green apples. Long, long citrus zest finish with a mineral note." Enjoy with the lighter fare of summertime- pasta, baked chicken with herbs, or have a glass to start a very pleasant summer evening. That's what you'll find us doing most evenings! News Flash - Double Gold! June 23 - At the Mendocino County Fair Wine Competition our 2006 Sweet Malbec won a Double GOLD medal, meaning that the whole judging panel unanimously ranked it Gold level quality. This was one of just 14 of the 270 wines entered that were awarded a Double GOLD medal. Read More....
