March: In like a lion, time

for some lamb?

Our vineyard cat "Fruitcake" surveys the stormy weather

from her perch in a 23 year-old Sauvignon Blanc vine.

In Mendocino County there are many sheep ranches producing outstanding lamb. We think several of our red wines match quite well with lamb. So we put the two together to come up with this month's special.

Monthly Special: Reds for Lamb

It's fun to drive along our Highway 128 this time of year and see the young lambs on the Johnson and other ranches gamboling about and finding their legs. But it's even more enjoyable to share

the wealth of the land on the kitchen table where lamb matched with selected red wines can make a meal truly memorable.

    Our special this month is
