Our
vineyards look like a box of Trix
Here's
the way our vineyards looked this morning. Full technicolor! Rich,
textured with lots of saturated color. It's a great time to visit
the wine country, if you can get away. But hurry, a couple more
rainy days and it'll all be gone until next autumn.

Harvest
Report.
Although
it's way too early to know for sure, vintage 2004 looks like it
will be one of our best. We orchestrated 10 picking days between
Sep. 10th, which was early, and finished Oct. 25th. Our goal
is to harvest each of the eight grape varietals we're growing right
at their peak of flavor. As a general statement each of our
varietals slowly reached good sugar levels and flavor maturity.
We're really looking forward to nurturing these wines along over
the winter.
What
goes best with turkey?
Around
this time each year just before Thanksgiving you start seeing articles
written about which wines supposedly pair best with a Thanksgiving
meal. Here are a couple:

Many
writers seem to agree that you almost can't make a bad choice. And
we've found over the years, we've paired a very wide range of wines
our special meal. So we decided that we couldn't and shouldn't recommend
just one particular wine this month.
We
call it "The 6 for 4 Turkey Special in case the rellies stay
longer..."
Probably
best to have a little extra wine on hand for relatives and friends
over the long Thanksgiving weekend. Choose any of our wines
and receive 6 bottles for the price of four.
We'd like to be true to our stated aim at the start of the year
that "It's our 10th Birthday... but you get the presents
all year long." This special monthly offer ends Nov.
21, 2004 and applies to web and telephone orders only.
