Yorkville Vineyards was among the first dozen vineyards

in the state to be certified organic in 1986.

You're Invited to our Harvest Open House- Nov. 24, 25 & 26

Over the Thanksgiving weekend and as part of the annual Mendocino Wine & Mushroom Fest, we will again host a Malbec & Mushroom party in our tasting room. From noon until 3pm each day we will offer Malbec; past, present and future ('05 barrel samples) with a full range of five bountiful mushroom appetizers*. $15 fee waved for Hi-Rollr Wine Club members. Please come celebrate our bounty including wine, wild mushrooms and roasted chestnuts.

*Including our popular: Autumn rustic stew of pumpkin and portabella mushrooms, spicy dragon noddles with shiitakes as well as a creamy flan with chanterelles in a herbed crust.

Malbec is BACK !

We've been out of Malbec for way too long! So we're very pleased to release our 2004 vintage this month. It just received a SILVER medal at the Mendocino County Fair. But we're also looking forward to entering it

into the international wine competitions coming up as we think it will be very well received by the judging panels.

This is a denser, bigger and somewhat "chewier" Malbec than some previous of our vintages and we really love it- and hope you will too. It has great variety of fruit: red plum, cassis, hint of boysenberry and cranberry in the finish. It won't dissappoint. EVERYONE knows where Yorkville is. But, where can folks be found celebrating with Yorkville wine?
