Harvest
- 3 weeks early!
We
try to distribute our eNews in the first week of each month, however
this month has been extra busy as we, like many Californian wineries,
are having our earliest harvest ever. Over the last 18 years our
previous record start was Sept. 17th. This year we picked our first
Sauvignon Blanc grapes on Sep. 10th, which is about 3 weeks earlier
than our typical start during the last week of Sept. We are happy
that the guality is high, yet that invariably means the yields are
low. It looks like it will shape up to be a very good harvest. Yet,
"it isn't over until all the grapes are in the barn..."
We'll keep you posted.
The
latest in our series of specials: Cab
Franc "3 for 2"
Our
2000 Cabernet Franc
is arguably the best Cab Franc we've made (so far...). Yet we're
unfortunately down to the last couple dozen cases and will run out
this month.

This
is a delicious example of that "other" Cabernet.
The blend is 85% Cab Franc with 15% Merlot.
Our

to be true to our stated aim nine months ago that "It's
our 10th Birthday... but you get the presents all year long."
